Acorel during the Corona crisis

The outbreak of the corona virus also has an impact on us. Our measures are always aimed at keeping our organization stable and our services at the trusted high quality level. The health and safety of our employees, our customers and our families counts most. That is why we only work at the location of our customer if it is really necessary and we closely follow their safety guidelines and those of the government. In all other circumstances, we work from home.
Fortunately, we have been working remotely for years and we all have full access to our IT infrastructure. We see that these times also offer opportunities. For example, at a number of customers we see that projects are being started or optimizations are being implemented because the business has time available to think along about their customer-centric processes, to provide input, to test and to participate as a key user in the project.

Activities
We miss our colleagues and customers so much! Curious about what we do to make working from home more fun and a little more pleasant? In addition to many MS Teams meetings, video calls, Goodnewsfriday messages and Acorel updates, a number of Acorel employees ensure that we start the weekend with a good feeling.
Spotify VrijMibo
Joost Goudriaan provided a good kick-off for the weekend. Music is indispensable in Joost’s life. And he knew how to take us all into his passion for music. We provided snacks and drinks ourselves. The Spotify playlist composed by ourselves was hosted by Joost via Teams in a very professional way. With games such as ‘Raad de Plaat’ and ‘Who requested this record?’ we bounced into the weekend with a good feeling. It is nice to get to know colleagues better on the basis of their music preferences.

Bingo
Joost and a bingo? That’s what we thought at first! 😉 But of course, because of his enthusiasm and his humor, many colleagues quickly signed up to participate. How did he convince us? To start with a super-promotional email with text, an I-love-Bingo choice model and explanation. The Bingo itself organized Joost in Zoom because you can see everyone at once in the same screen. And guess what? Regardless of whether you entered because you like or dislike Bingo, everyone was very fanatic. And this wasn’t even that surprising! 😉

Acorel Quiz
The questions flew past us like two accomplished quiz masters. Who is the smartest person at Acorel? Who dared? Of course all of us! In one hour, Thijs and Sjoerd tested our knowledge in 75 questions from various categories, such as sports, spelling, traditional Dutch, cartoon characters and so on. Tension up to the last minute. The winner went “home” with a delicious bottle of wine. And all family members participated :-)!
