Cloud for Sales and Service Release 2402 Briefing

The month of February means that a new release for the SAP Sales and Service Cloud will become available. In this blog we want to share with you the highlights of the new features and improvements from Release 2402.

On the weekend of February 3rd, SAP will upgrade all test tenants to the 2402 release. The production environment will follow in the weekend of February 17th.

Readiness Check tool

As you may know SAP is working hard on building a new cloud CRM system called SAP Sales Cloud V2. With the 2311 release SAP delivered the first step in transition tooling from V1 to V2: The Readiness Check tool. With release 2402 more details on how SAP will support customers in this transition are available. The Readiness Check tool will provide info on functionality that is already available in V2 but will also provide options for sending Key User Tool fields to V2 and migrate data from V1 to V2.

Sales

Within the sales process the following enhancements are included in the new release:

Sales Quotes: When using SAP CPQ ( Configure Price Quote) users are now able to change details of the quote during the copy process. This allows for fast creation of a similar quote to different customers.

Opportunities: The data source containing the Opportunity History has been extended with the fields Expected Revenue Start Date, Expected Revenue End Date, Currency for Weighted Value, Transactional Currency for Weighted Value, Weighted Value and Weighted Value in Transactional Currency.

Dynamic Visit Planning Add-On:  Sales employees can now benefit from the dynamic visit planning cockpit functionality from their tablet.

Intelligent Sales Add-On: Your sales team can now increase sales predictability for an extended time horizon with the use of Rolling Forecasts.

Service

Within the service process the following enhancements are part of the new release:

Ticket Management: The OData service ServiceRequestItemCollection has been extended with the new fields PlannedStartDateTime and PlannedEndDateTimeEnhancement to be able to share more detailed information to SAP FSM.

The data source “All Tickets with All Interactions ” has been extended with the new fields “Created On” and Changed On”.

Email and Interactions: The Outbound Email Monitoring has been enhanced with the ability to view the status text, to provide more details.

The BAdI VALIDATE_RECIPIENT_EMAIL is now available. This brings the functionality to validate an email address while sending an email.

Agent Desktop Add-On: It is now possible to adapt the list of Interaction types visible within the filter of the Customer Hub.
